Animal Rescue & Welfare Advocacy

A Voice for Those Without One.

For Rachelle, animal welfare has never been simply a cause. It is a deeply personal passion rooted in compassion, responsibility and the belief that every animal deserves to feel safe, loved and valued. Through years of hands-on rescue work, fostering and advocacy, she has dedicated herself to helping vulnerable animals, particularly senior cats and those who have been abandoned, neglected or overlooked. Her commitment goes beyond finding animals a home. It is about giving them a second chance, restoring their trust and ensuring that age, illness or difficult circumstances do not determine their worth. Because every life matters, and every animal deserves someone willing to speak up for them.

Hearts4Paws Senior Cat Rescue

Founded by Rachelle in 2019, Hearts4Paws Senior Cat Rescue is a Stratford-based, volunteer-driven, foster-based rescue dedicated to giving senior, vulnerable and often overlooked cats a second chance at life. Many of the cats entering rescue have experienced abandonment, neglect, illness or the loss of the only home they have ever known. Hearts4Paws provides a compassionate environment where they can receive veterinary care, recover, rebuild trust and find the loving homes they deserve.

As founder, Rachelle remains actively involved in the everyday realities of rescue, from coordinating veterinary care and foster placements to supporting rehabilitation and helping each cat find the right forever home. With the dedication of volunteers, foster families and generous supporters, Hearts4Paws has helped more than 200 cats begin a new chapter.

Behind every rescue is a story. Some begin with heartbreak, others with uncertainty, but each represents a life worth saving. From senior cats who have lost the only homes they've ever known to vulnerable animals recovering from neglect or illness, every cat arriving at Hearts4Paws has their own journey. Through patience, veterinary care, dedicated foster families and unconditional love, these cats are given the opportunity to heal, regain their confidence and experience the comfort of a loving home. Their stories are reminders that second chances matter, and that even the most vulnerable animals can have beautiful new beginnings.
